Kopitiam Hoong Cheong

Chicken rice is often made lunch for most chinese when we talk about eating out. The usual chicken rice usually comes roasted or steamed. However this place has made a twist to it. Instead of hanging roasted chicken at the window of the stall for display, this stall offers fried chicken. The sole reason why the coffee shop is fully packed at lunch hours. The stall also offers char siew, lap qiong, lobak and a chat. The fried chicken constantly emptying the plates of the stall to the customers' and fresh fried chicken from the back of the stall is constantly refilling the front. That's part of the attractive part of the stall, fresh and hot served. The only one bad factor to this stall is, if you are not a fan of monosodium glutamate, you would feel that food served here are rich in it's taste. But come on, who would enjoy a tasteless food and it's not like you are having them everyday.

This is the front of Kopitiam Hoong Cheong. Directly opposite Ayamas in town.

This are the pricing list of the food sold here. Although it's a bit pricey compared to the normal common  chicken rice stall, it's worth it.

The line here is usually long especially during lunch time.

She never stop serving.

One thing to add, she rarely smiles=P

Steamed chicken

This is a very addictive flavoured soup.

Ajat

Char Siew and Lap Chiong.

Lobak.

The=is makes the awesome Fried Chicken Rice.

Canning Garden Beef Noodles (Facing Canning Garden Wet Market)

This is one of my parents' favorite beef noodles after church. This shop has nothing else but awesome beef noodles. It has a minimum choice of Liu but the main point here is the beef soup and of course the beef itself.
Was too hungry so I ordered this while waiting for the long  beef noodles.

This is one of the limited fried liu they sell.

Various Meatballs.
"Kon Low" mee.

and of course the attraction of the whole shop, beef soup.

A Breakfast Date With Sir Kenneth

It's a hard to come by chance where I chose food over sleep. It's a morning before a funeral of a friend's mum that I have to attend. It's as early as 6:30 in the morning when the sun is just at the midst of showing itself glaring through the window. I woke up by irritation where John has to put me through. He is bad at waking people up. All he does was setting an alarm by your ear or like this day, he played music from his phone to wake me up. Creative? Nah~ irritating I would say. But that's the point I guess. So I woke up and Sir, my most memorable teacher and leader that had taught me a lot of things not just in the scope of studies but also lessons in life. He is the best partner to find if you wanna eat a variety of food at the same time. The first restaurant that we went was Hong Xim Dim Sum. This is a very nice dim sum place to breakfast. This dim sum shop offers some special dishes that you don't always find it in other Dim Sum shop. Here are the few dishes that I've ate.

Siu Mai.

Ha Gao

Siu Mai.

Fish Ball

Fish paste coated with almond flakes and sunflower seeds

Wu Kok (Fried Yam)

Siu Long Pao. One of a dish that you have to bite it all at once. The usual dumpling in soup that you taste is now inverted to a dumpling that contains soup.

Lou Sah Pao. This one is my favorite. One bite and the flavours of these creamy yellowish juice will burst into your mouth. This is a must try!

Ma Chi
The second place we went was to this shop isolated from the busy street of Kg. Simee, Retoran Moon De Moon. The place has nothing much to offer but a very nice starchy or rather "gao" curry mee. If you are going there with an empty stomach, don't. Why? You need to wait a very very long time just to get to taste the mouth watering curry mee. Besides, stalls, not many of them, serves no good food. Go just like how we did. Go there on a free day after a meal, order nothing but the curry mee. Even the coffee is not that good.

Day 6

My friends and I went for another jog at Polo Ground and this time I went to another place for breakfast.

This is the famous Hakka mee. but I find it so so only.

Then we head to Funny Mountain again and experience the drive-thru this time.

This is the new shop just right beside the old one.
In car dining.

This is my all time favorite where I can taste both Soya Milk and Tau Fu Fah at the same time.

Lunch Time. We went all the way to the street cendol again at Pasir Pinji. It is just awesome!

This time we add a new dessert to our menu list, Wan Tau Long.

Dinner. Everytime I work At Taman Permai, I will go for the next dish bought at a Vegetarian Shop near my work place.

This is my favorite dish from the Vegetarian shop, Butter Prawn Rice.
